Emma's Birthday

Emma turned four on April 25th, which was a Sunday. It would have been just fine, but we came home from church to see this out our front window. It was the little girl's birthday that lives next door to us. Emma was devistated. We tried really hard to hide it, but she found it. :( Try explaining to a four-year-old about keeping the Sabbath day holy. Thanks a lot neighbor for making MY birthday girl feel like her birthday wasn't as special. :( Here is the birthday girl! She informed me the next morning that she can pour her own cereal because she is four!
We had the girls cover their eyes for more birthday surprises. I thought it was so cute!

The 'hit' of the party was my old toys! I brought a few of my toys home with me from my parents house. This is a Rainbow Bright set. Do you remember those? My kiddos love them!

Here is the 'princess' cake that was requested. It may have been a bit of a train wreck (it is supposed to be a castle if you couldn't tell :) but our little princess didn't seem to mind.

Attacking the cake! The girls just ate the cones off the top. They loved it.

Below is a video of blowing out the candles. If you can sit through our singing it is hilarious because Cami blows out Emma's cake. Followed by a meltdown! It is hard when it is not your birthday.

This video is of Camilla singing Happy Birthday to Emma. It is really cute!

Date Night

We went out on a date Friday night to an Oakland A's game. We won 10-0! It was a fun game and a fun date! One more thing we love about living here, pro baseball games!

Happy Birthday Emma!

Today Emma is 4 years old! What a ride it has been. We love her cute smiles, her dimple, her fun personality and her excitement for life. What would we do without our Emma? I know it sounds cliche, but I really can't believe how much time has gone by. We have had so many fun memories with Emma. We love you, Emma and hope you have a wonderful day! Here's to 4 wonderful years!

A Great Big Shout-out!

So I was in desperate need of a swimming suit. (Usually I don't blog about this) Anyway, I have always heard that Modbod swimming suits are awesome. So I went to their website and found this adorable swimsuit. Come to find out, this amazing friend of mine designed the swimming suit! Isn't she so talented?!? Someday when I grow up, I hope to be as awesome as her. And yes, I bought the swimming suit. Just a side note, they are much cheaper when they do their roadshows(I got mine at Costco). So if you are close to one, go get it!

Why we moved here!

With the finish of tax season, we decided to take a family trip for the weekend. We headed down to Santa Cruz, CA for a vaca! Our goal: spend two days on the beach! It was so relaxing and beautiful. I forgot how much I love the beach. This is yet another reason why we moved here!
We went down to the boardwalk and they have a small amusement park there. Emma saw the merri-go-round and wanted to ride. Lame- I had to buy another 3 tickets if I wanted to ride with her because she was an inch above the height line...whatev! So she was a little scared, but still had fun. I think she doing a curtsey for the camera. And what would the beach be like without a lighthouse, just for me. :)

Isn't it so pretty? There were a ton of sailboats out for the weekend.

We buried Emma's legs. She loved it. We tried it with Camilla, she didn't love it.

Posing with dad. Do you love the random people in the background?

Playing in the water.

If you look close, Emma is screaming as she is running away from the water. Everytime the tide would come in, she would scream and run away from it. I wish we would have gotten the first time on camera. She was so scared and booked it faster than I have ever seen her run. So funny Emma!
And Camilla only wanted to be held. The sound of the waves scared her really bad.
This video is how Camilla was at the beach the whole time. She was pouting because it isn't her favorite. Then she was scared of the water. She would run away from the water. But she didn't get used to it like Emma did.
We had an awesome weekend! I highly recommend a family vacation after tax season!

More of our trip...Utah

So since my camera died, I have been stealing pics off friends blogs. :) We stayed with some of our BYU friends. These sweet little girls' dad is an accountant too. So we thought we would hang together since we were tired of being single parents.
Here are the girls on St. Patrick's Day playing a really fun St. Patty's game. Thanks for taking care of us!
Then we stayed with our other friends. This is Emma's true love, Jacob. She tells me that he is her prince. Needless to say, she was in heaven spending a few days with him. I'm wishing....I don't know what faces they are pulling, but they are funny.

Camilla dressed up in their Mickey costume.

Eating together. Mealtime with two sets of twins would be interesting.

Emma is TERRIFIED of dogs. Here is proof of her petting a dog for the first time. She was shaking while she was doing it.

It was so fun to see everyone! Thanks for the park dates, craft nights and letting us crash at your homes. We miss you already!
P.S. If you want to see a good fit by Cami, scroll down to the next post/her birthday post and check it out. She is a pill!

It's my party and I'll cry if I want to

Eating cake.
I just love this face.
Birthday cake.
Someone pouting because it is not her birthday. Just 3 more weeks!

I'm two!

Camilla has started throwing some awesome fits. Here is proof of one. She is sticking her tongue out at Kevin and stomps her foot. We are in for it.

For the Grandparents

Here is a video of Camilla opening a gift from Grandma and Grandpa. If you listen carefully, you will hear her say "tute" after each page. It is cute!

Remember when....

I almost want to cry when I see Camilla this little. Where has the time gone? We had fun thinking about her yesterday and how my water broke on April Fool's Day. And how I got to call Kevin on his internship in CA while I was in UT. And how the little stink came 3 weeks early. :) Aside from all of the opening drama in her life, WE LOVE OUR CAMILLA!
We don't know what life would be like without her. She is such a great part of our family. I love her spunkiness, her attitude (most days), her dare-devil/risk taker side, and her lovies. What a sweetie! We love you Cami and hope you have a wonderful golden birthday. Happy 2!
How can you resist that face?
