Confessions of a Three-Year-Old

By request, I am posting this funny from Emma. I have to set this up a little bit. So we have been living with my brother for about 3 months. We just moved and are now living with Kevin's sister. Our start date got pushed back for our job in CA. So we are just waiting. We are living with just the basics right now and most of our stuff is in storage. So Emma asked me about everyday when we first moved, when we could go home.
She asked me on Sunday again if we could go home. I told her that we are living with her cousin Amy for the time being. She continued to ask if she could go home.
I then asked her, "where is our home, Emma?"
Emma says, "It's in storage." (And then burst into tears.)
Poor thing. Moving certainly affects everyone in the fam.

And also Happy Birthday to my hubby on Saturday! I love ya babe!

Coming to Utah!!!!!

We have not dropped off the face of the earth, we are just in Idaho. We moved to Idaho the first part of May and are living in my brother's basement. Kevin has had a temporary job at Simplot and has now survived the great manual labor. Isn't that what we got a Master's Degree for? Anyway, the best part of this story is that we are coming to visit Utah (because we love it so much!) And I am hoping that we can get together with some friends. So let me know what anyone is up for. We are coming on Friday morning and staying through Monday or Tuesday. My other request, ladies...is anyone up for a play group? Let me know! Hope to see you all soon!

Graduation! (and a few other posts)

Woot hoot! We are done with school! Here is Emma celebrating for us. So since we endured a lot of school, you get to endure a lot of pictures celebrating our finale!
A quick update on us (first, you can check out this post and FOUR after this one. I know, I know, I'm behind)...
We are moving to Idaho next week to live with family. We are so sad to be leaving Utah and our friends here. We will miss all of you! BYU has been a great experience for us and we feel very blessed. Besides the tears of goodbyes, the bad news fairy has been hitting our family. Kevin's start date got moved back and our salary was dropped for the job in CA. So we will be living with family for the next 5 MONTHS!!!! So if I am not in the insane asylum, I will do my best at keeping up on this blog over the next few months. So before I get to grouchy thinking about moving and not having our own space....let's celebrate what feels like the end of a really long day, as Kevin puts it. Kev graduated with a Master's of Accountancy degree from BYU. Now my bragging rights...it is the number one accounting program in the nation. Way to go babe!At the actual graduation. What a fun day!Who hikes the Y on graduation day? That would be my husband! So I made him take his robe to take some cool pics.
Here we are in the Tanner building. This is where all of Kevin's classes were. We should have been paying rent here. :)

So what do you do when you graduate? You hitch-hike of course. We spent all our money on school...how do you afford a car after that? jk (we do really have a car)
Our cute graduate!
Our family. I think going through school with kids deserves extra kudos. It sure makes life harder. Good job Kevin for enduring to the end.
Love ya babe!
We went to dinner after graduation. The best part was Cami eating this ice cream cone. She pulls the funniest faces.

Emma turns 3!

April is a busy month for us with two sweet girls' birthdays! Emma turned 3! I can't believe how big she is. She is really our little girl. Here she is with her buddy/cousin Amy. These two are two peas in a pod. Opening presents with lots of cousin help.
All the kids at the party. I guess Cami likes to cry at all birthday parties.
This video is Emma after she opened a present. My two favorite parts are when asked what it is, she replies, "Mine." And she keeps saying that it is Sophie's. One of her friends has the same toy. :)

Wedding Time!

In our busy April, my cousin got married too! It was so fun to be together. We all grew up together, but as we have gotten older, we are now all living across the U.S. It was so great to see each other on such a fun occasions. I just love weddings!
My cousins and aunt and uncle.
This is all the extended family. I just love candid shots wehre everyone is looking in different areas. Including Andi, the bride on the floor with the kids. :)
Emma had a lot of fun with Kara. She even told me that she was her new friend. It is fun that our kids are friends too!
I guess Emma doesn't like weddings as much as I do. :)
And what else to do at weddings? Take pics! I love my sistas! You gals look hot!

Cami turns one!

Remember when? I can't believe how fast time goes. Babies really grow up so fast. Remember Cami's crazy entrance into this world? How her dad was in CA on an internship? How our neighbor/friend was the only one with me? How I had a baby an hour after getting the hospital? How I didn't get the epidural? Well this crazy story was the beginning of this sweet little girl's life. We have loved having Camilla Jo in our family and can't remember life without her. Here are some fun pics on the birthday. Isn't turning one fun?
I think she looks like Kevin in this picture.

Here is my little poser. And a pointed toe!
One of my favorite pics. My grandma, so Great-grandma, sent Cami a card and a one dollar bill for turning one! How cute!
Hey girl, I guess it is your party and you can cry if you want to!

A Fun Weekend!

I have to blog about these things to remind me of the fun and exciting things we get to do as a family. We were able to drive to the middle of Utah and go to Capitol Reef National Park and stay at our friend's cabin. Thanks again for inviting us! We saw amazing rock formations and had fun going on little hikes with our kids. We also went to Goblin Valley State Park. Well worth the drive, it was awesome! Here are just a few pics. Us at Goblin Valley. Crazy rock formations!
Umm...who does this to their kids? (Before you get too upset, Kevin was holding onto them from behind. :)

Or this to their kids?
Maybe they get it from their CRAZY dad, who wanted to climb to the top of everything all weekend!
Here is Cami flying through the air. Yes, it did start snowing on us while we were there.
There were lots of fun holes for the kidos to sit in. And cute for pics.
These two, as usual, were inseparable. We love that Jacob is biting his shirt.
We had so much fun. It was a relaxing weekend with cool sites to see and great friends. Thanks again!
