Flashback Camping

The summer started off with a great idea from Kevin's sister, Kim. Let's go camping! We went to Scout Mountain, a favorite place to camp in Pocatello. It was a lot of fun. And really cold! On the drive up, we went through some snow. That is camping in Idaho in May for ya. Needless to say, we were less prepared than we should have been. So we zipped two sleeping bags together and all four of us piled in. The kids slept and we layed there. :)

This video makes me laugh. Cami found a little hill and would crawl up it and slide down on her belly. Cami had a funny way of crawling then, we called it the stink bug crawl. She would get up on her feet and walk with her hands and feet. You will see in the video. The stinker just didn't want to walk.

Family Fun Weekend

Having girls is a blast. I turned the corner one day to find this waiting for me. Apparently someone wishes they were Sleeping Beauty. (Or as Emma says it, Sleeping Booty) My favorite is the wig and crown addition.

At a friend's suggestion we went to G & M Farms this weekend. They have a huge pumpkin patch and corn maze. And lots of other fun activities! Here we were posing at a height chart. I can't believe that Emma is probably close to 3 feet. (or maybe over)They had heads to pose in. Cami was mooing the whole time. It was funny.
Here we are at the hay maze. They have tunnels and a maze that you can walk around made of hay bales. My girls loved it.
They have a sandbox but it is full of big hard kernels of corn. So much fun! And not as messy as sand, but we still found corn in the diapers.
They have a play area that has kernals as the ground covering. Cami loves to swing.

We found a tire swing too. When Emma asked for another push, Cami pushed her shoulder. It was funny.

And they were excavating the corn.
The final event was Emma riding a pony. She picked the biggest one and had a blast! No fear, that's my girl!
That night we had a trunk-or-treat for our church. Our girls dressed up as princesses. Cami wanted to be a Barbie. Aren't we a little young for that? Emma couldn't decide between a nice spider and Sleeping Beauty. A nice spider? What is that? They had so much fun. Cami would hold out her hand and say 'peez.' And last, but not least, this movie is hilarious! Kev, reliving his past, decided to take the girls for a ride. This was an evening activity that was a hit! And no one was injured mom and dad. And the post below is a flashback from the summer. I plan on doing one post a week to catch up what we missed in 6 months.

Flashback Summer

Just before we moved from Provo, my mom and sister came out and went to Women's Conference at BYU with me. We had so much fun going to classes and hanging out! We got our workout running all over campus. We laughed in the concert as we all have the same taste in music (or maybe what isn't music. :) We decided that we need to do this again! The girls weren't too excited to pose in our all girl pic.

I also got a vinyl machine before we moved. With the help of Laurel, I was able to do these fun projects. I have also now done 2 Super Saturdays. (Well almost). More pics of projects to come.

I caught the girls in their room one day playing. I don't know what they were looking at. They are standing on Emma's headboard to her bed. Crazies!

When we moved we had so much help from friends. One of our friends Rachel made these skirts for my girls WHILE BABYSITTING THEM!!!! Yes, she is amazing. Someday I hope to be as good as you Rachel!

Confessions of a three-year-old

Just tonight, Emma was saying her prayers and a few choice lines were:
"Please bless my grandpa and grandma that they can come and see me. Bless them to drive safe when they come to see me."
And our other favorite, "Please bless mom and dad that they will say (in a really high pitched voice) let's go trick or treating."
Awesome!

Alive and very much kickin'

We have made it to CA! After a very long and difficult move, we have arrived. So our moving day consisted of packing up in Idaho Falls at Kevin's sister's house, packing up at my brother's house in Pocatello and packing up at my parents. Then we drove 3 hours to UT to pack up our storage unit. A suggestion: when moving, have your stuff in ONE place. :) We are so thankful to everyone who helped us out during our move. (And thanks Wilkins for letting us show up late, late, late.) And thanks to my bro for all his help with the move too!

It was an interesting move. We haven't lived outside of Utah or Idaho while we've been married. There were tears shed as we left. We will miss everyone!During our move (which was 12 hours or more with potty stops :) we stopped at the salt flats. I thought it looked so cool. And the girls loved running around.

Once we got here, the unpacking started (and continues!) Don't you wish you were in this move?

My brother drove out with us to help with the move. My brother's last day here, we decided to do some sight seeing. We went down to the bay and saw the Golden Gate bridge. It was so cold, but we were excited to see the ocean!
Rich was a little scared of the CA traffic. :)
We drove ALL over San Fran to find the 49ers stadium. My bro is a die-hard! Thanks again Rich for all your help!
Since I have dropped off of the face of the blogging world, by suggestion, I am going to do a post once a week with random activities from my 6 month absence. So here goes:

The weekend before we moved was my mission reunion. I really wanted to go since I don't know when I will be in Utah again during conference weekend. It was so fun to see old missionaries I served with. I was disappointed that more of us can't get together. We are all spread over the U.S. now, so it makes it hard. I visited with the Bennions (one of the senior couples I served with) and Tasha. It was so good to catch up. And to all MIM the Bennions say 'HI!'

We also played at the park earlier that day with some Provo friends. I didn't get very many pics from the day. But here is a picture of Emma with Jacob. He is the boy that Emma says she is going to marry. :) I love it! We believe in arranged marriages and know that they would have NO in-law problems!

Success at last!

I am currently blogging from CA! Kevin and I came out here to look for a place to rent. (Without our kids....we owe Kevin's sister our lives). After being lost A TON and only having one panic attack, we found a place to live!!!!!! Thanks to everyone for their suggestions and help (and encouragment)! Poor little Emma will have a house again. We will officially be moving the second week of October to Pleasanton, CA. (It is in the San Francicso Bay area).

We are going to move into a 3-bedroom townhouse. It is older, but has tons of space (at least for us:). I will just say that house/apartment hunting is the worst ever!!! Maybe I'll never move again. :) BTW, this marks move number 9 in 4 1/2 years of marriage! Anyway, I will share more pics later. Below is the front of our place.

Confessions of a Three-Year-Old

By request, I am posting this funny from Emma. I have to set this up a little bit. So we have been living with my brother for about 3 months. We just moved and are now living with Kevin's sister. Our start date got pushed back for our job in CA. So we are just waiting. We are living with just the basics right now and most of our stuff is in storage. So Emma asked me about everyday when we first moved, when we could go home.
She asked me on Sunday again if we could go home. I told her that we are living with her cousin Amy for the time being. She continued to ask if she could go home.
I then asked her, "where is our home, Emma?"
Emma says, "It's in storage." (And then burst into tears.)
Poor thing. Moving certainly affects everyone in the fam.

And also Happy Birthday to my hubby on Saturday! I love ya babe!
